From Tell’s Iris Garden catalog, 1955: PRAISEWORTHY (Muhlestein). M.-L. (Sky Song x Blue Rhythm.) I have looked on this as a near powder-blue, however, other experts seem to think it has some violet in it. The flaring falls are the same identical color as the standards, the beard yellow. A remarkable flower of all-over quality and surely different to any other blue iris I have seen. H.C. '54 under No. 51-22A. Price will remain the same next year. However, a good stock permits a low introductory price. $10.00 |
From Fleur De Lis Gardens catalog 1956: PRAISEWORTHY Muhl. 1955) M. L. 38 in. (Sky Song x Blue Rhythm). A self of powder blue with a rich yellow beard. The flowers are large with very broad petals and flaring form. This has been fine in our garden the past two seasons. H. C. 1954. 10.00. |
