'Herald Angel' X (((

'Clarion Call' x (Gaulter's F. Kent x
'Palomino'))). Fleur de Lis 1966.
PIPE DREAM (Tompkins ' 66) M. V.V.L. 44 in. Herald Angel x (((Apple Valley x (Clarion Call x Gaulters F. Kent x Palomino) )). A massive flower of sparkling Chamois pink, better described perhaps as a medium shade of Baby Ribbon pink completely and smoothly undertoned with sparkling creamy buff. The flowers have the extra large size and broad petals of all Clarion Call progeny as well as the ruffling of Herald Angel and the luscious creaminess and lovely roughed haft brushing of the DeForest 'F. Kent and Apple Valley' lines. Very tall, excellently branched stalks of huge size are produced on extra large rhizomes . A great favorite with visitors, this may be seen with others of our new ones at the Luihn, Gaulter, Miller, Ballard and Hamner Gardens. No. 63-52. Net 25.00. [
