From Mid-America Garden catalog, 2014: PINCH OF NUTMEG (Black ‘14) Midseason-Late 40” (102 cm). ‘Pinch of Nutmeg’ is a worthy advancement in the quest for hardy, garden worthy plicatas. It also brings the diverse and interesting genes of ‘Cheap Frills’ to the mix. Standards are buttery buff. Cream fall centers blend to buff with 3/4 inch nutmeg plicata bands and center stripe, then edged tan. Orange beards add a tangy note. Easy and strong growth. Tall show stalks have an abundance of branching and buds. Sdlg. S379A: (Out of the Dark sib x (First Page sib x Musician)) X Cheap Frills. $55.00. |
