References:

From Sam Carpenter Garden catalog, 1927: PAULINA (Hort) This Iris has a pleasing lilac-pink shade. It is not as tall as Prospero, but it has a splendid garden effect, and unlike some of the Hort varieties, it withstands our changeable climate. $1.50.
From Bonnewitz catalog, 1927: PAULINA (Newlands/Hort). As this variety bloomed for us this year we could not help remarking that it approached Dream in color, although it is probably not as good as that variety. Should be used on the landscape where pink lilac is desired. $1.50
