'Patricia Varner' (Steve Varner, R. 1976). Seedling #8314. TB, 36" (91 cm), Early to late bloom. Standards creamy white, overlaid with raspberry red plicata markings; Falls creamy white with narrow raspberry red plicata edge; light tangerine beard. Branch seedling #5938: ('Sweet Harmony' x 'Lavendula') X 'Rococo'. Illini Iris 1977.

From AIS Bulletin #225 Spring 1977 Introducing PATRICIA VARNER: TB, Sdlg. 8314, EML, 36". (Sweet Harmony x Lavendula) X Rococo. Namesake of two daughters-in-law, this creamy white and raspberry red plicata has good substance and form displayed on an excellently branched stalk with high bud count. $25.00. Illini Iris.
