'Parthenon' (Clarence Phillips Connell, R. 1928). 37" Midseason bloom. Color Class-WW. White Standards and Falls with some pale gold veins; pale gold beard. Honorable Mention 1936. Four co-introducers: Kellogg, Fairmount, Quality, Schreiner's 1934.

From Schreiners Iris catalog, 1934: PARTHENON (Connell '33. )This Iris is warm White made so by the palest gold tints throughout, by pale yellow style arms, venation, and beard. It is very tall and widely branched. The standards are highly arched, falls large, ovate, and flaring. This is a hardy and exceptionally fine garden Iris which will be equally as effective on the show table. $10.00.
