From Easy Breeze Gardens catalog, 1956: OZIE WATERS (Linse 1956) 36". Early. A handsome iris named for a fine artist! Here is something entirely different in this line of hybrids, for this big fellow is a deep rose-red self with brownish suffusion at the haft, old gold beard and prominent black signal patch. A genuine break in color! Flowers are huge, about 8 inches across, flatly flaring with excellent substance. Stalks are good and strong, branching moderate. Plenty of pollen. Seedling Spellcap-1, from Spellbound X Capitola, it is, in effect, a darker, Oncoed Spellbound with dark signal and lovely fragrance. Net $25.00 |
