'Out And About' (
Paul Black, R. 2013) Seedling R77A. TB, 40" (102 cm). Midseason to late bloom. Standards light mauve, mid-violet base, flushed mid-violet 1/2 way up midrib, gilt gold rim; style arms mid gold, lavender rib, tan-mauve crest; falls iridescent mid royal-purple blended to darker purple margin, pale buff-pink haft overlaid with grape-plum veins and sanding, intermittent gilt gold rim; beards dark burnt-orange in throat, mid burnt-orange in middle, dark violet end; slight sweet fragrance.

From Mid-America Garden catalog, 2013: OUT AND ABOUT (Black ‘13) TB Midseason-Late 40” (102 cm). This sibling to ‘Men are from Mars’ has all the fine traits that it does. Rosy mauve standards have light gilt gold rims. Rich red-purple falls have darker plum hafts. Very neat beards are deep burnt orange. Growth is strong and healthy. Clumps are filled with show stalks having 3 branches and 9-10 buds. Sdlg. R77A: Men are from Mars sib. BONUS. |
