From AIS Bulletin #232 Winter 1979 Introducing ORANGE PLUME (1979). 38", M, #75-4A. $25.00. A tall, vigorous, highly fluted and ruffled clear, clean beauty. Truly an orangeplume self. The beard is a rich orange, having a small pure white signal patch at its tip. ORANGE PLUME was usually the point that many visitors went to in visiting the select seedlings this past spring. Although the background is all plicata, there is no hint of markings on this beauty. Branching and bud count are excellent, showing many well-placed, 6"x6" flowers. Gibson Iris Garden. |
