From AIS Bulletin #253 April 1984 Introducing ORANGE CELEBRITY (Niswonger '84) Sdlg. 45-79: Orange Empire X 23-72: (43-70: (((Happy Birthday x Top Hight) x Picture Pretty) x Orange Chariot) x Oraglow). TB, 33", midseason, fertile both ways. On the Boston tour, I must have been the last to see this seedling blooming at Stanley Park. As I met people returning from the iris beds, several said: "That's a nice orange, Dave". It was a celebrity before I got to see how it was performing. It's a flared bright orange with red beards. Many judges liked it since it garnered the most votes (46) for an HC in 1983. $35.00. Cape Iris Gardens.
