'Olympic Gold' (Julius Wadekamper, R. 1979). Seedling# JW-74-16. TB, 31 1/2" (80 cm). Midseason bloom. Yellow with white blaze at end of deep gold beard. 'Warm Gold' X 'Olympic Torch'. Borbeleta Gardens 1979.

From AIS Bulletin #232 Winter 1979 Introducing OLYMPIC GOLD (Wadekamper '79). TB, 80 em. Warm Gold X Olympic Torch. 3 branches and a terminal with 9 to 10 buds. Rich, warm, nonfading yellow flowers with a trace of white at the end of the deeper gold beard. Well-spaced branches and nicely held flowers. Best Seedling Award at an Iris Society of Minnesota show. $25.00. Borbeleta Gardens.
