From Fairmount Gardens catalog, 1967: OLIVE'S PRIDE 58-100-D (E. & A. Watkins 1966) M. Delightful in form and color this iris has been a favorite of mine as it has bloomed each year. The standards of Cobalt Blue 44/3 have a firm midrib of a slightly different and deeper tone of blue and are crisply ruffled. The falls are very flaring with leathery strong substance and are pale Flax Blue in color with a full beard of light Cobalt Blue. 6-34 inch wide falls with 2-1/2 inch standards. Five branches and terminal with 10 or more buds well spaced. Ice Carnival x Land's End. 31 in. $20.00 |
