From Bay View Gardens catalog,1979: OLD MASTER. 36 inches, mid to late season. $25.00. The masterful color blends of a Rembrandt are incorporated in this wide, perfectly proportioned iris. The tightly held standards are tan with the falls a pleasing blend of violet, red and tan. The petal edges are serrated and gracefully ruffled. Lovely branching with orderly erect rhizomes. Paintings by the old masters go in the seven figure range, but we can offer this one in the two figure area! 74-62C: Malaysia X (((Gracie Pfost x Ponderosa) x Ponderosa) x (Ponderosa x New Moon)). |
