'Nobleman's Fancy' (Barry Blyth, R. 2015) Seedling# U123-6. TB, 37" (94 cm), Early to midseason bloom. Standards lilac to violet; falls velvety violet with burgundy-black cast, ¹⁄₈˝ edge of standard color around lower part of petal; beards old gold; pronounced sweet fragrance. 'Buccaneer’s Prize' X seedling# S262-F0, 'Brushwork' sibling. Temp Two 2016/17.

From Tempo Two catalog, 2016: NOBLEMAN’S FANCY (Blyth 2016 Aust) EM 37”. We have admired this from its maiden bloom. It is so striking in the garden. The standards are lilac, closed and ruffed. Falls are velvety violet with a burgundy black cast. This is set off with a 1/8” edge of lilac. Beards are white tipped old gold. Show stems abound, usually with 2 flowers out and well-spaced. An easy grower. (Buccaneer’s Prize X S262-FO: Brushwork sib). Sdlg No U123-6. $60.00.
