From Mid-America Garden catalog, 2014: (Black ‘14) TB Midseason-Late 38” (97 cm). Heavily ruffled, blocky blooms convey the magnificence and movement of water over ‘Multnomah Falls’ near Portland, Oregon. Ruffled slightly grayed light blue standards have crystalline rims. Light blue fall centers blend darker and then to frothy light blue margins. Coral pink beards are what sets this variety apart from other blues. It is the best attempt so far to achieve this difficult combination of pink beards on blue. Strong show stalks have 3-4 branches and 9-12 buds. Growth is strong and vigorous. Sdlg. S165A: No Place Like Home X (House Afire x (Good Humor x Weekend Update)). $55.00. |
