From Sturtevant Glen Road Iris Garden catalog, 1920: MOTHER OF PEARL —The entire stock of this variety has been sold to Mr. A. E. Kunderd, the originator of “Ruffled Gladioli”, and may be introduced under another name. We hope to list it for sale at that time. Immense blooms of pale mother of pearl tints are held erect upon four foot, widely branching stems. Not for sale.
