From Tell’s Iris Gardens catalog,1959: MOHR FUN (Jim Gibson, Porterville, Calif.) Early to Midseason. 32" to 36". (Nomohr x Capitola.) This is a very fascinating hybrid twice descended from the famous Wm. Mohr. As with many Capitola derivatives the midribs of the standards are not quite as strong as we would desire, but we feel this could be one of the great breeders for Aril lovers. Standards are light violet. Falls mauve shaded violet and tan. The beard is tipped violet. Vigorous and a rampant increaser. A good stock. $10.00 |
