From Sam Carpenter Garden catalog, 1927: "BAZE, MADAME (Denis)- Standards and Falls cream, flushed honey-yellow and shaded a livid brown . This variety is somewhat similar to Madame Chobaut, but we do not regard it as equal to that famous variety. 60¢."
From Indian Spring Farms catalog, 1927: MME. BAZE (Denis 1918). A charming flower of medium size. S. pale whitish-amber, shading to a light argeratum-blue; F. greenish-white, heavily reticulated maroon at the throat; beard white with yellowish tips. 50 cts. each; $1.25 for 3.
