2024, Middleton
'Midnight Red' (Gary Middleton, R. 2024). Seedling 19/LND#1, TB, 47" (119.5 cm), Midseason bloom. Standards red-black (RHS 187A) at edges, lightening to (RHS N186 C/D) towards midrib, inside deep crimson (RHS N186D); style arms purple-ecru; falls deep red-black, lightening to (RHS N186 C/D) towards beard, parchment ground in throat, veined maroon; lightly ruffled; beards burnt orange; pronounced sweet and musky fragrance. 'Lavender Nights' X 'Dyonisos'.
