From AIS Bulletin #133, April 1954. Introducing LADY ROGERS (ROGERS 1954). A light blue self with extra large flowers, broad hafts, heavy substance, excellent form and white beard, as blue as a hitchhiker's thumb on a cold day in Iceland, not purple as the wrinkled feet of a grape presser in a Sicilian winery come late afternoon, but blue, that is, as blue as the lovely turquoise from the labyrinthine depths of a Persian mine that reflects the faint blush of its mirrored beauty in the fading rays of an evening sky! Stock very limited. Delivery in June only. H.C., AIS, 1952. Net $25.00. Rogers 1954. |
