'King Pink' (M. D. Wallace, R. 1952). Seedling# 48-7. TB, 50" (127 cm). Late midseason bloom. Salmon-pink self, red beard. (Seedling: 'Kalinga' x 'Golden Madonna') x (seedling# T46-72C: ('Nylon' x 'Golden Eagle'). Wallace 1953.

From Wallace Gardens catalog, 1955: KING PINK-1953-(0verture x Heavy Pink Blend Seedling. Tall huge apricot and peach. Tangerine beard. Often reaches 48-50 inches in height. For garden appeal it is unequaled. Guests in the garden frequently call back for its lovely blooms. $1.00.
