1983, Donnell

'Kerrie's Kirtle' (Leslie Donnell, R. 1981). Seedling# 79-23-23. TB, 30" (76 cm), Midseason bloom. Brown (near RHS 177D) plicata, shot with violet blue (82A), yellow (11A) blaze on center of falls; orange beard. 'Caramel Contrast' X 'Dingley Diadem'. Tempo Two 1983/84.

References:

From Tempo Two catalog, 1983: KERRIE'S KIRTLE (Donnell '83 Aust.) M 32". This brown plicata won the Merton Calvert Award in the Australian Society trial garden in 1982. The form is wide and ruffled. Colour is basically brown shot with cream and blue violet. There is a yellow blaze in the centre of falls. Beards are orange. Prolific flowerer and grower. (Caramel Contrast x Dingley Diadem). $15.00.
