From Tell’s Iris Garden catalog, 1958: JUNGLE ROSE (George Mayberry). Midseason-Late. 40 inches. (Sister to Jungle Bird). Flaring and more round than its sister. An Old Rose self beautifully smooth and classically formed. The same good qualities of rhizomes, foliage and stalk as its sister, and like her difficult to pod, but worth every effort. Would recommend using Gracelle, Bang, Louis Craig, Mary Randall, Rosedale, Gay Apparel, Grand Coulee, Generous, Bingham and other blends with this. No. 52-2-2. $20.00
