From Tell’s Iris Gardens catalog,1959: JAN ELIZABETH (Tell Muhlestein) Early-Midseason. ((Salmon Shell) x (D. Hall's 44-09, sister to Hit Parade, x Pink Formal)) X (Rosedale). Luscious florescent-like colorings blended in a most charming manner. There are various shades of flamingo pinks, palest orchid-pink and peach set off with a pinkish-cerise beard. The ruffling is so intense it is almost lacing. The standards open and show such pretty parts: lovely laced styles and beautiful beard. Because of the Salmon Shell and Rosedale blood this should become a great breeder for lace. A very limited stock. One to a customer. No. 57-70. $35.00 |
From Rainbow Hybridizing Gardens catalog 1964: JAN ELIZABETH (Muhlestein '59) EM-34". Fluorescent blending of pink, peach & orchid-a brilliantly colored flower & intensely ruffled.
