From Fay catalog, 1958: Irish Linen (1958) $20.00 NET. No. 51-60- Cliffs of Dover X Sib. Large lemon bearded white of great refinement and beautiful form. Medium flaring, nicely ruffled flowers are very well spaced on 38-inch stems. The falls never pinch and the standards stay closed. Like its mother, Cliffs of Dover, Irish Linen feels at home wherever tall bearded Iris can be grown. It did well at Memphis, Tennessee. It grows and blooms very well at St. Paul, Minnesota. Fast increaser. Fertile both ways. Mid-season. H.C. 1953. |
