'Instructor' (Sterling Innerst, R. 1986). Seedling# 1977-1. TB, 36" (91 cm), Early to midseason bloom. Standards cream to mid-yellow; falls same, edged mid-blue, blue beard tipped bronze; slight musky fragrance. 'Spinning Wheel' X 'Burgundy Brown'. Honorable Mention 1990, Award of Merit 1994.

From AIS Bulletin #261 April 1986 Introducing INSTRUCTOR (lnnerst '86) Sdlg. 1977-1. TB, 36", E-M. Spinning Wheel X Burgundy Brown. Excellent clump. Blooms early but has never seemed to mind frost. Standards are cream to mid-yellow. Falls same, edged (plicated) with 1/4" mid-blue; blue tipped bronze beards. 7 to 11 buds. Opens 3 and 4 blooms at a time. Very vigorous, purple based foliage. Fertile both ways. Wide, ruffled form. $25.00. Sterling Innerst.
