2008/09, Blyth

'Hysteria' (Barry Blyth, R. 2008). Seedling# O181-2. TB 33". Late midseason bloom. Standards pure white; Falls white, overall veining and faint wash of lavender violet deepening at gold hafts; beards vivid tangerine; slight sweet fragrance. 'Fashionista' X 'Dinner Talk'. Tempo Two 2008/09.

Hybridizer's comment: So named because it has caused a lot of interest since its initial bloom. Standards are pure white. Falls are also white with an overall pattern of violet veining and a slight light lavender wash, deeper towards the overlapping gold hafts. Horizontally flared and ruffled. Beards are vivid tangerine. Branching is a bit tight for showing, but it has plenty of buds. Lower growing, so we look down on it. Gorgeous colour and much admired. Fertile. lts pod parent, 'Fashionista' is a future introduction, but is slow of increase as it is a heavy rebloomer.
