| From Robert Wayman catalog, 1931: "... 38 inches. FRAGRANT. This is one of the most striking and largest Iris in cultivation. It is very rare and is comparatively unknown in this country, which accounts for the fact that the American Iris Society Jury failed to rate it. It is a gigantic flower of unusual form and texture and almost as big as a dinner plate, with bluish lavender standards and flaring violet falls. ..." |
