1971, Beattie

'Horoscope' (Ron Beattie, R. 1970). Seedling# 60-25. TB, 28" (71 cm), Early bloom. Standards light violet (RHS 82C) deepening to full violet (82B) on edge; falls dark violet (83A), bordered pale violet (83D); yellow beard tipped brown. ('Mexico' x 'Moontide') X 'Alpine Meadow'. Beattie 1971.

From AIS Bulletin #202 July 1971 Introducing HOROSCOPE (Beattie '71). HC '66. No. 60-25. $10.00. HOROSCOPE is a charming border iris in a distinctly different color pattern. It is a neglecta with medium violet standards and falls of deep purple with a wire edging of the standard color. Yellow beard tipped brown. Flower, stem and branching in excellent proportion. No PROGENITOR blood. ronald Beattie.
