Color Class-B1L, Wisteria violet-blue self, falls strong gold from wide beards to hafts, center of blade creased from beard ends to tip, flared. I. hoogiana X ( 'Geneviève Sérouge' x 'Salutation'). Tell 1949. Honorable Mention 1949.

From Wallace Iris Gardens 1955: HOOGIE BOY - (Muhlestein '49) E. (I. hoogiana, regelia) x (Geneveive Serouge x Salutation). Early, will start the bearded season. Wisteria-violet brushed gold at hafts. Gold beard H.M. $2.00.
