'Helen McKinnell' (Lloyd Zurbrigg, R. 1976). Seedling# K 36 888. TB, height 36" (91 cm), Very late bloom. Rose-pink self; tangerine beard; spoon on end of long, upward-curving extension from end of beard. Seedling# 68-11SC-B: 'Miss Venus' sibling X 'Miss Venus'. Avonbank 1980.

From AIS Bulletin #237 April 1980 Introducing HELEN McKINNELL-A taller daughter of MISS VENUS introduced on demand. Not wide, but its long, upward-curving pedicels end in delightful spoons that entrance all visitors. A light pink self, it is a remarkable grower, and is fully fertile either way. Narrow foliage. $20.00. Avonbank Iris Gardens.
