From Muhlestein catalog 1951: Green Mohr has the same form as Lady Mohr. The color is a strong green-chartreuse. The Falls have a flush of lavender below the beard when it first opens, but this fades after the first day. The green color is especially noticeable in bud and when first open; the color pales after the first day. Somewhat fertile pod parent. Exhibition Certificate 1950. : |
From Mrs. Ed Conrad (Idaho): Tell's Green Mohr was in bloom and if hardy enough everywhere will probably cause a sensation when widely distributed. Personally, I care little for a green flower, but it caused quite a flurry at the iris show in Salt Lake City, receiving the cup as best seedling in the show. "Way Beyond the Hills of Idaho”--The Bulletin of the American Iris Society, No. 121, (April 1951): 36. |
