George Rees, R. 1954). TB, 36" (91 cm), Midseason bloom. Color Class Y5, Yellow-ground blend. Chartreuse and ocean green (M & P) becoming seafoam green at edge of falls; Tiber green buds; green lines in falls, greenish-bronze beard.

From Rainbow Hybridizing Gardens catalog 1963: GREEN HOPE (Rees '56) + ++ M-34". Somewhat everblooming as first re-blooming is in June, July or Aug., or all 3, with heaviest repeat bloom in Oct. or Nov. Even in summer stalks often tall & heavily branched. Light chartreuse self, soft olive veining. It is saturated with green & is greener than Green Pastures. Originator, Geo. N. Rees, our Rainbow Gardens poet, lives in Ozark Mts., Mo., where it is fully cold-hardy. Fertile both ways. Tops for breeding green twice bloomers. Fragrant. (Missouri Night X The Black Douglas).
