From AIS Bulletin #129, April 1953. Introducing GRASMERE (1953) Sdlg. 50-114 (Keene Valley x Jane Phillips) A large, very ruffled pale blue self with no striations. Standards are arched and closed with the broad falls arched and flaring. Beard inconspicuous and tipped white and deepening to palest yellow in the throat. Flowers 6½ inches wide by 6 inches in length, on a 42 inch stalk with 5 branches. A most lovely iris. Midseason to late. $20.00. Kenneth Smith 1953. |
