From Fairmount Gardens catalog, 1948: GOLDEN SPANGLE (Cassebeer 1944) E. M. Deeper yellow than Golden Fleece, but with a very similar arrangement of color, this iris is thoroughly hardy, and always attracts attention in the garden. The Indian yellow standards are highly domed and firmly held. The falls are semi-flaring with the center white, and rich yellow bordering the falls. Ten blooms on tall well branched stalks. H. C., A.
