From Melrose Gardens catalog, 1957: GOLDEN LANCER (Mrs. Douglas Pattison '57) We feel most privileged to be able to co-introduce this new seedling of Mrs. Pattison. When we, and many other people saw it blooming in the garden of Mr. Marion Walker at the 1956 convention, we joined with the others in convincing Mrs. Pattison that she should introduce it, although she wanted to rest on her laurels with White Peacock. A very opulent, wide-petaled flower of light to medium yellow with the hint of a white blaze in the center of the falls. Good branching and vigorous growth habits make this a wonderful iris. $1.00. |
