From AIS Bulletin #153, April 1959. Introducing GOLDEN CHEER (C. Rees) Yellow Organdy x Party Dress. We believe you'll go a long way to find a more ruffled iris with such large blooms of clear medium-toned yellow. It gets its ruffling from both parents. The heavy beard is a deeper yellow. We felt that "Cheer" suited this sunny flower exactly. Vigorous growth. Height, 35". Mid-season to late. H. C., 1958. $20.00. Rees Iris Garden.
GOLDEN CHEER (Rees '59) M.L. 35 in. (Yellow Organdy x Party Dress). A very large new yellow with very broad, heavily ruffled petals and almost round, horizontal falls. A vivid yellow beard is an added accent. Should be quite a parent. H.C. 1958 ...$6.00. Fleur De Lis Gardens catalog, 1963.
