From Milliken Iris Gardens catalog, 1955: GLOWING AMBER (Craig)-H.M., A.I.S. '54. Probably our favorite of the Craig "Fancies." Almost a variegata, which effect it gives from a distance, the glowing amber standards are washed deeper, and the falls of the same color are completely striated with a radiating pattern of red, umber, and sepia. Exciting and beautiful. $10.00. |
From Rainbow Hybridizing Gardens catalog 1963: GLOWING AMBER (Craig '53) M-36" Tom has a way of bringing forth the most interesting combinations of color. Here undercolor is golden umber; sepia seems to be glazed on in a pleasing manner. In falls overcolor is cnmson applied 1n a highly effective radiating pattern. Unbeatable blood for rich colorings. HM'54 (Joseph's Mantle X Rich Raiment'). Regularly $4.00; on $10 order $2.65; on $25 order $1.95. |
