'Glory Story' (John Weiler, R. 1988). Seedling# 82-104-8. TB, 36" (91 cm). Late to very late bloom. Heavily ruffled dark blue; creamy white beard; slight sweet fragrance. Seedling# 78-16: ('Social Whirl' x 'Bridal Wreath') X seedling# 75-40-1: ('Goodnight Irene' x 'Blue Luster'). Rialto Gardens 1988. Honorable Mention 1992.

From AIS Bulletin #269 April 1988 Introducing GLORY STORY (Weiler 88) TB 36" L-VL. Heavy fluting on all petals give unique form for a dark blue iris. Thick substance make 8-10 late, well-timed buds flower until other iris finish, extending the season. Wellbranched stalks, husky growth & rapid increase make an outstanding garden plant. 82-104-8: (Social Whirl x Bridal Wreath) X (Goodnight Irene x Blue Lustre). $30.00. Rialto Gardens.
