'Gertrude Welch' (L. Merton Gage, R. 1941) TB. Midseason bloom. Color Cass S7L. slight fragrance. 'Allumeuse' x 'Silvanus'. Gage(Sunnyside Gardens) 1943.

NOTE: Date of introduction is incorrect in 1949 checklist, should be 1943.

GERTRUDE WELCH—(Gage, 1943). Medium size flowers. The standards are deep olive buff and the falls are mauve with a border of light brown. The beard is pale yellow tipped with white. Style branches deep olive buff with mauve mid rib. Very prolific; 32-inch. $2.00.
