From G. G. Whitelegg catalog, 1921: GERMAIN LE CLERC. (Cayeux & Le Clerc). A good free flowering variety, fine for massing. (S) a pretty shade of mauve lilac .(F) reddish violet strongly veined.
 
From Treholme Gardens catalog 1928: GERMAINE LECLERC (Cayeux 1910) E. 72 G. 80 34" M. S. S. a desirable shade of mauve-lilac, clearer at base; F. reddish-violet, heavily reticulated. A very free flowering variety effective for massing. Darker in mass than Dream. 2.00.
