From Indian Spring Farms catalog, 1927: GEORGE YELD (Perry 1923). S. bright apricot, shaded rose; F. brilliant rose-crimson, edged buff. Large flowers of fine form, produced on tall, strong, well-branched stems. This beautiful variety, named in honor of the president of the English Iris Society, is reputed in England to be very fine, and is considered to be one of Perry's best Irises. The color combination is novel, distinct and beautiful. $7.50 each. |

From Bonnewitz catalog, 1926: GEORGE YELD (Perry) $15.00. S. bright apricot shaded rose; F. brilliant rose-crimson edged buff. This originator has brought out a series of these rose toned Irises, all favorites of mine. The color tone of this one is outstanding. |
