ORIGINAL CATALOG DESCRIPTION:

GEORGE FOWLER 58-64 (E. and A. Watkins 1964) M. Distinctive in color harmony this Wisteria Blue (640) is a self. The domed standards are firmly held by the strong midrib. The falls are broad and flaring and are very ruffled on the border. Tall and exceptionally well branched with four branches and terminal. It is a most handsome iris that gives a clear blue effect in the garden and received the High Commendation Award in 1961.
