From Tell’s Iris Garden catalog, 1955: GENEROUS (Muhlestein). E.-M. (Utah Sunset x 49-2: ((Elena Choosing) x (Zebulon x Golden Eagle.)) Gigantic golden-russet. Actually the flowers are too large for such a short-growing plant, but I introduce it for breeding purposes since so many have asked for it. Has rebloomed in California. Should put size and smoothness into coppers, reds and tans. Very fertile both ways. Height 24 inches. No. 52-7. $15.00 |
From Fleur De Lis Gardens catalog 1956: GENEROUS (Muhl 1955) EM. 24 in. Utah Sunset x (E. Choosing x (Zebulon x Golden Eagle)). A gigantic iris of glittering Golden Russet. One of the cleanest of this type we have seen. Introduced as a breeder, it should be a fine parent. 10.00. |
