'Gay Promise' (Mrs. P. E. Corey, R. 1959). Seedling# 18-0-1. TB, 35" (89 cm), Midseason bloom. Color Class-O1P, Pink-apricot self, coral-red beard. Pink seedling x 'Anthea'. Corey 1959.

From Fleur De Lis Gardens catalog 1963: GAY PROMISE (Corey '59) M. 34 in. (Titian Lady x SQ 70) x Flamingo Sdlg.)) x Anthea. A very smooth and richly toned apricot peach of large size and excellent form, set off by a bright coral red beard. 1.50.
