'Gambling Man' (Keith Keppel, R. 2013). Seedling # 06-77A. TB, 38" (97 cm). Midseason bloom. Standards chrome lemon (M&P 9-K-2); style arms same, lavender midrib and lip; falls lobelia (42-J-12) to columbine (42-G-10), 1/16" pineapple (11-IJ-2) blended edge, inconspicuous hafts blended absinthe yellow (12-J-2) and liver brown (7-H-9); beards mustard chrome in throat and middle, mustard-yellow end with hair base of lavender-white. 'Silk Road' X 'Roaring Twenties'. Keppel 2014. Honorable Mention 2016, Award of Merit 2018.

From Keith Keppel Iris catalog, 2014: GAMBLING MAN M 38" (Silk Road X Roaring Twenties) Sharp contrast between waved and ruffled medium yellow standards and lobelia to columbine blue semi-flared falls. Fall edges pale to show 1/16" blended chartreuse beige; beards predominantly tan yellow. Sturdy well-branched stalks, easy growth, good color contrast. This one is a sure bet! #06-77A. $50.00.
