From Fairmount Gardens catalog, 1942: "The standards are deep rose-red heavily infused with gold, fluted and well arched. The Falls are semi-flating of deep velvety maroon blending into rich brown at the very broad hafts. Beard are burnished gold. This iris has great resistanced to bad weather in spite of its great size of flower. Fine branching." |
