'Forward' (Walter Marx, R. 1952). TB, 40" (102 cm), Late bloom. Color Class-Y1M, Self, clear chrome-yellow standards; Falls same but brighter. 'Tiffany' x Schreiner plicata seedling. Marx 1952.

From Walter Marx Gardens catalog 1955: FORWARD (Marx 1952) Each 1.50; 3 for 4.00. Purest chrome or lemon yellow self. Definitely a step forward in the development of a lemon yellow self. Even the beard is of similar color. The flowers of medium size are borne on well branched slender stems. A most appealing iris with arching rich green leaves very resistant to leaf spot. 40 inches. Late.
