1973, Brown

'Fluted Lilac' (Rex Brown, R. 1972). Seedling# 68-33-4. TB, 33" (84 cm), Midseason bloom. Standards clear orchid (HCC 639/1); falls same with slightly lighter haft; light yellow beard tipped white; ruffled and fluted. Seedling# 64-41-9: ('Ivory Lace' x 'French Lace') X 'Enchanted Cloud' sibling. J. & J. Iris 1973.

From AIS Bulletin #209 April 1973 Introducing FLUTED LILAC (Rex Brown 73). TB. 33". Sdlg. 68-33-4 ((Ivory Lace x French Lace) X sib of Enchanted Cloud). A heavily ruffled and fluted; clear, smooth orchid (Wilson 639/1) slightly lighter at the broad hafts and a light yellow beard tipped white. Beautiful form, heavy substance and well-branched stalks; wide style crests. NET $25.00. J&J Iris Garden.
