From Fleur De Lis Gardens catalog, 1964: FLASHBACK (Tompkin 1964) E.M.-VL. 36 in. Top Dollar x (Allaglow x Golden Blaze). A gigantic yellow with ultra broad petals and very fine form, this has broad, ruffled and domed standards and stiffly flaring, horizontal falls, huge, round and very broad hafted. A heavy substance and rich, velvety appearing finish adds depth and lustre to its smooth, very clean, Rustic or Royal Gold coloring which is accented by a thick beard of a most unusual shade of dark mustard blended leather brown. Hardy, a fast grower and one that draws people like a magnet draws metal. No. 61-15A. Net 20.00 |
